Literally translated as ‘house of the city’, the NH Hotel De Ville is located on one of the nicest streets in the historic city centre of Groningen. The hotel is close to the bustle of the pedestrian area Grote Market, and the food market at Vismarkt, and is home to the fourth tallest church tower in the Netherlands. One of the oldest Dutch universities, the University of Groningen, has its historic academic centres nearby. NH Hotel De Ville's rooms all feature superior Treca beds (210 cm), Waterwerk bathrooms with heated floors and warm towels, and lighting designed locally by Albert Geertjes. The hotel’s contemporary cuisine is French and varies seasonally.
